We Have Poop!!!

It's not enough to bronze, or even enough to write home about, BUT it's surely enough to blog about because it means that all indications are pointing to a functioning bowel for our little blessing.

There is also talk of starting to fed him tomorrow for further testing of the bowels. Of course it will be the cruel 5 ml (1 tsp) every 3 hours and with our big guy (who is up to 11 pounds now!) that's hardly a swallow, but you gotta start slow when testing the pluming so as not to burst the brand new pipes. Well I guess it's not so much new pipes as it is new joints? Oh, who cares - I can't figure out a clever way to say it. All I know is my little guy is showing all the right signs and if he can handle food and eat enough of it to satisfy his doctors (all 3,000 of them) then he can come home. I can't wait, I just can't wait.

He still has his tube, it's to gravity now which is a step in the right direction, but he still needs to be able to tolerate it out completely. Our prayers right now are focused in that direction as well as that he does not come down with the measles. We would really like to be spared that one right now, really, really.
