Malachi had a 'sham poop' last night. What is a 'sham poop' you ask. Well according to the surgeons it's poop that doesn't mean a thing. Sort of a result of messing around in the bowels and it has no meaning. Poor little Malachi can't have credit for filling his diaper yet, but we are hopeful. There are signs that his tummy is coming alive and we are anxiously awaiting his first poopy diaper. That will be the signal that all really did go well and we should soon be able to start feeding him those teensy tiny bits of yummy milk to test out the system as a whole. We can't wait.
He seems in good spirits and is tolerating things quite well. The contents from his tummy tube are getting increasingly clear, leaving the green gunk behind, also a very good sign that things are beginning to come alive in all the best ways for him.
I wonder if anyone out there would bronze a poopy diaper? Who needs bronzed shoes anyway, all we need is for our little guy to have his first diaper of his life so we can get him home! I think bronzing would be a great way to celebrate.
