Quick Update - No Surgery

We found out yesterday, quite by surprise, that Malachi's surgery has been postponed until next Wednesday. He is not tolerating having the tube out of his stomach, despite our efforts to think downward and gravitational thoughts. We tried really hard last night, but after just a few hours with the tube out he started vomiting and gagging again. He has not tolerated feeds either, and both of those together indicate that something else is wrong. We are headed to the hospital now and will know more hopefully today after some more tests. The surgeons hope is to find everything now and get it all fixed in one surgery verses multiple surgeries. It is the best thing for Malachi, but it sure is hard to watch him stare at me and wonder why no matter how hard he sucks he can't get any milk out of his binki. He wants to nurse but his tummy will not allow anything to stay. A bit torturous for me, but at least I get to be there and hold him now.
