Jacob: "Mom! You will not believe this! It's so amazing!." Mom, "What Jake!" Jake, "When I went to time out the red balloon was already right beside me. I didn't even have to sneak and get it!."
Ellie: Mom, "Ellie did you kick Jacob?" Ellie, "Yes. Over and over and over and over and over again. I kicked both of them." Mom, "We don't kick people Ellie, that's not how we behave." Ellie, "I know." Mom, "You need to go tell Jakey and Zacky you are sorry and give them hugs." Ellie, "I know. And then go sit on time out." Mom, "Yep that's right." (the funniest part; I completely forgot about the time out and was content with the apology. She's currently serving her time so I thought I'd blog about it :) )
Zack (after a rough couple of days): Mom, "I have noticed you are doing much better today than the past few. Are things feeling better because I am taking more control and being better about stopping your disrespectful behavior?" Zackary, "No, I am just a good person." Mom (with a big smile and a hug), "That's exactly right. Well said buddy, well said."
