Let the Coloring Begin!

Notice the lovely progression.  I always forget that I need to choose them in reverse order for them to apear correctly.  Ah well, at least I got the mysterious egg container shutter sequence right.  It's not often we get to catch her red handed, she does add quite a spice as you can see by the laughter and smiles.  Make sure to check out her orange egg.  The shot is not that great but if you study carefully you can see just what it means to Addie when you say, "Hold it gently. Soft, soft."  Hmm, I kind of knew how that one would turn out.  She "squished the tarnation out of it", nothing some orange dye can't cure.

Zackary wrote; resurrection, I love Jesus, and Zackary on his secret message eggs.  So awesome.  Ellie loved her two toned pink egg most and was fascinated by all the vibrant colors. Addie was just happy she got to be there, as I almost wasn't brave enough to do it while she was awake!  It's one thing to do it with one of us to be on Addie duty, but alone?  I thought long and hard about that one.  Jacob so enjoys anything creative that he could have dyed eggs for a few hours.  It always goes by so fast.  Why didn't I turn it into a science experiment with color mixing?  Who knows, I'll have to remember that for next Easter.  We had fun but missed you Daddy.

Can you see the sly look as she gets poised to shut it before I can get the picture?  Ellie is trying to help but no one around here is a match for Addie.  Ha!  Got it ... this time :)  Jacob really isn't miserable, not sure how I always seem to catch someone grimacing.
I love the 'try not to laugh mom is trying to take a picture' grins coming through on all of them.
Aw, she's so innocent.  Look at that little face.  Why should she stop?  Wouldn't you love to get that kind of reaction from three other people every time you do something.
You can't see the finger poke so well but it goes down almost all the way through.
Stinky vinegar, but Ooooo look at those colors.  Such cheap thrills.  I think next year I'll get smart and buy a gallon of vinegar and a kit for each one of them.  Imagine, hours of enjoyment for about $6.
