Shhhhh ...

Don't say it too loud, but Malachi had at least 30 mls at each feed yesterday with the exception of a couple but they were torturing him before and the little guy was just plain worn out and too tired to eat afterward. Now here is the exiting part ..... today he had a 60, 65, and another 60mls. WooHoo! So far no barfing and the irrigations seem to be keeping his colon so happy that he is resting much more peacefully and just doing better all around. The blockage at the top of his colon seems to have worked it's way down and as far as we can tell things are moving much more smoothly for him. Dr. Aiken is working in Marshfield this weekend so we will see how he feels about Malachi's progress come Monday or Tuesday when he returns.

Keep it up Malachi!

On another note, we had the perfect day yesterday. Daddy took the 4 to the zoo while I got to hang with Malachi for the day. It's a trick to pump and take care of him but it worked out better than it ever has before. It was so nice to be able to be with him for an extended time. The other children absolutely loved getting to spend the day with Daddy at the zoo; they have really missed him. Malachi was sleeping when they came back from the zoo and they were all so good at being quiet and not waking him up. They were so glad to be able to see him even though they weren't able to hold him as anticipated. They have all been so amazing through all of this, they really have. I don't know what we did to deserve such caring, selfless, and adaptable children but boy am I sure glad.

Here's to the most super duper awesomest children ever! Zackary, Jacob, Ellie, and Addie you are the best in the whole world!!

That kind of made me tear up. They sound like the best in the whole world. You are a lucky mom I think.
