Dr. Aiken is confident the problem is not Hirschprung's related anymore. Malachi has shown every sign that he is capable of eating and pooping and increasing his volume to sustain his own life. We are on the road, it's just going to be a bit longer than we thought.
We are all discussing the possibility of lactose intolerance at this point. We shall see - and we are so grateful to get this all figured out before he's home. Home and healthy has always been our prayer, goal, and hope for him. The Lord knows best and it's coming about, sure enough. Patience is a virtue and boy am I being schooled!
On another note:
One of the lovely ladies that has been helping us cover shifts at the hospital said something today that I would like to shout out;
"You know that Sam, he's one in a million. He's bonded with that baby and he sure knows his stuff."
AMEN! We are so blessed, so seriously and incredibly blessed. He is an amazing person, and the best father in the whole wide world. The absolute best!
