We have decided to satisfy your curiosity despite our indecision as to how to proceed with our blog due to recent training Sam received. Enjoy. I don't know how long this will last :)
Before we knew what was about to hit us.
Who would have thought this little angle had anything
wrong with his insides.
In the NICU with Great Grandma Eleanor's
quilt. She's not making them anymore and we
were sure glad Malchi received one of her last.
That is a serious double chin!
The tube to drain his stomach so he wouldn't
gag/choke to death.
Post surgery with Dr. Aiken's trademark heart
gauze. You can't see his incisions, but you can see
his seriously bloated belly from all the air
they pump into it in order to be able to do
the surgery.
Pre-surgery. It's funny how he looks so normal
until you see all the wires an tubes coming out of his clothes.
He was able to go without his tummy draining tube by this time.
His NICU pod, home away from home.
The best children on the planet. They are so kind
and caring, resilient and adaptable, and just
plain cute. I don't know where we'd be without
each and every one of you. Thank you Zackary, Jacob,
Ellie, and Addie for being the best children to have
at a time like this. Malachi is a blessed little boy to
have siblings like you waiting to play with him.
The dreaded ng tube for gavage feedings.
What an awful experience to watch your
sweet baby vomit so hard for so long all
because he's got way too much food being dumped
down a tube to his stomach.

Well he looks the epitome of a healthy, well cared for baby. That must be a good sign. That beautiful little face surely has something to offer this world!
What beautiful pictures of your family. You're right, he looks like a perfectly healthy little baby, and it breaks my heart to think of him throwing up anything! I'm so glad he has such a wonderful family surrounding him. What a lucky guy.
