Addicted

I am addicted to the cuteness that is our little angel. He is so pudgy it's down right adorable and he's just plain edible. He is quite the charmer with a smile that melts anyone who gets to see it. He's so funny too because he plays these games with you while he's eating, like he knows he should be getting down to business but he's just got to sit and stare at you for a bit, then he'll hit you with one of his big ol' grins and you just melt. I am just addicted.

He's been smiling since the day after he was born. Actual look at you, focus, and purposefully give a grin, bonafide smiles. Those of you that are skeptics and would like to call this the 'it's just gas' smile, well let's remember something here - he had none HAH! I have many witnesses of the very official doctor and nurse variety too. Let's also remember one more very important thing; he was born a toddler. Seriously, he is already in 6-9 month clothes and he's just coming up on 6 weeks old. They had to find him some size 2 diapers because the size 1's that he's been in since birth just aren't cutting it anymore. Have I mentioned he has back fat. Yep, when naked and turned on his tummy for a bath he resembles a little baby piglet, it's very cute.

Speaking of eating, was I speaking of eating? Our little charmer ate a whopping 84 mls today, and still no vomiting. Granted, he's not doing it at every feed, but he is increasing and proving that he can hold his own. It's looking like we might be close to the finish line. It's strange because as exciting as it is, it also feels like he's never coming home. It's a strange thing this ride we are on. I will definitely be glad when it's over.

Your attitude and sense of humor is a wonderful example to all who read your blog. Malachi and his family are never far from our minds.
