The Dancing Queen

We were fortunate to be the recipients, some time ago now, of a pair of dancing tights and a little ballerina skirt.  It is hard, no quite impossible, to convince our little dancer that anything need to be worn besides dancing clothes.  They sit in the dress-up tote for weeks on end, and then suddenly, discovered anew, they come to life again.  She reminds me time and time again that she needs ballerina shoes and a dancing outfit (leotard) because her shirts don't "move right for dancing", and "my toes need to be in ballerina shoes to stand up the right way and do the right toe things for dancing."  What?!  Yep, that's her.  She is constantly walking around on tip toes and will fold her toes under to try and get that "ballerina toe dance" form.  In case you are curious, the notebook she is holding is never far from her.  She writes all her dancing stuff in there and she needs it to be a good ballerina.  She's gone through several now and is always on the look-out for a cute notebook and fancy pen to keep her dancing stuff in, it's so very cute.
She is absolutely beside herself at Daddy's promise of finding her a dancing teacher when we move to Milwaukee.  If there is one thing we have learned while doing time in LA, it's that we definitely know where we want to be spending our money.  The boys each want to add an instrument to their studies; Zack is considering trumpet or guitar, and Jake has chosen piano. Ellie is thrilled with dance but also wants to take flute and violin.  We haven't quite decided what to do with that yet, we'll keep you posted.  For now, Addie will continue to soak it all up and grace us with her beautiful melodies.  Milwaukee better have some fine talent for us to glean from cause these kids are ready!

"Jacob I need my ballerina music.  Can you do that please?"
"Good job, good job Jake.  Now I need to go do my dancing, keep going."
