We don't know yet when he will be baptized, as that will entail Sam being able to work out time off from work and a plane ticket back. Right now it's looking like early/mid March. Zack has been very cautious in his decision about baptism. Those that know him, know that he takes things very seriously and thinks a great deal about most everything he does. He had some typical fears about the water and logistics, but mostly, being the perfectionist that he is, he wanted to make sure he was ready to live up to the covenants he will be making with the Lord. He has studied a lot and asked many questions. Back in January the primary presidency put together a baptism preview. When he came home, he said, "I am getting baptized and I can't wait for my baptism!"
The baptism preview was a special Daddy son night. Families were welcome but there were some inconsistencies between invites and announcements and Zackary had it in his head that it was only for parents and the child being baptized. Once something gets in there it is nearly impossible to change it :) He did eventually believe us that siblings could come and that his friend's siblings would be there, but he wanted a special night with just he and Daddy, and so it was.
I am so pleased to see and feel his determination and strong spiritual sense. What an amazing person you are Zackary, we love you! Now stop growing already!!!
