Magnets and Myths

I am minding my own business at the computer, enjoying smells of Sam's pancakes filling the air and sounds of children happily helping and others happily reading. Ahh another great Sunday evening. Suddenly Jacob, one of the happy readers, says, "Mommy want me to tell you a story? It's a Greek Myth." "Well sure", I say and get up to sit on the floor with him. It is then that I remember what a treasure this little boys is. Sitting excitedly, with four bag chip type magnets in front of him, is my adorable 6 year old ready to share with me.

In short, there are 3 animals involved, a lion, a goat, and a snake. Each is represented by the magnets clipping and magnetizing to each other to form the mythical creature.

***We interrupt this post for an important message from the creator himself***

Jacob is reading over my shoulder and would like me to add: Mom, you need to tell them it's name, The Chimaera. It's mainly the lion. There is a goat head coming out of the lion's chest, the back of the lion's chest. And there was a snake for a tail. The lion was roaring. The goat was looking at Pegasus, Pegasus is also another greek myth, and there was a tail for the lions tail. Okay, and that might be it because my pancakes are ready.

***We now return to our regularly scheduled, and much less interesting blogger***

I am terribly disappointed that I have no camera with which to record this little presentation. What a treat you are Jacob.
