Well folks, it's official we are buying a new charger. It makes me want to scream and cry all at the same time. I would love a rewind button right now so that I could get out of bed, move the stuff out from the wall, get that stinkin' charger, and chuck it in my purse. But no, when that thought, "the charger is still plugged into the outlet in the schoolroom", jolted me awake in the wee hours of the a.m. on our 2nd day of packing, I ignored it. I told myself I would remember in the morning. I even woke Sam up and told him so we would both not forget. (insert best crazy scream here) I ignored, so that makes the movers dirty rotten scoundrels. It's okay if you don't get my logic, the point is; being able to blame it on someone else. Personal responsibility is overrated, just ask the federal government. Woops!
Ahem, with school starting in the next couple of weeks, I was forced to face my demons in the attic and get to work. The first two boxes were exciting. I found lots of our school books and supplies and was able to dispose and organize quickly. Then came then next two boxes:
labeled: sewing machine and brief case / actually: wheat grinder
labeled: school books / actually: a few books (not school books), our over the door towel hanger from the children's bathroom, a wooden breakfast tray
I quit.
Sam comes home. I matter of factly inform him that we will be buying a new charger. He asks why and I eagerly tell him what a terrible time I had trying to unpack ridiculously marked boxes with not enough storage or room to put things in, and on, when I unpack them and on, and on, and on. I am not the least bit dramatic, and certainly not over dramatic. No, not at all. He says, "Let me try one more box. I am pretty sure the Easter decorations were in front of the outlet it was plugged into." "Have at it!", I tell him. A pencil sharpener (full of shavings, which Addie managed to dump all over the attic), and some other odds and ends later he walks down and says, "We are buying a new charger." He opened many more than one box and decided to join my pity party.
We gave it our best effort, maybe. Score one for B&H Photo. Movers, dirty rotten scoundrels!
