Yesterday we had a great time at an amazing park with fabulous friends. And then. There is this older woman (sorry mom) walking around with her grandchildren that looks similar to my mom. Much different, but same color hair, about the same build, and same short hairstyle.
At some point Addie decided that she was her grandma and there was no convincing her that she wasn't. She was following her around calling her Grandma and wouldn't leave her side. "Push me Grama." "Over here Grama." Look a me Grama." I would try to redirect her, try to explain this wasn't her Grandma, it was of no use. Luckily, this woman played along and Addie got some Grandma time.
On the way home, "So mazing Mommy, play with Grama at park!! Mommy! forgot Grama at park, go get her." She woke up this morning just as convinced.
So, sometimes, just sometimes, I feel sorry for my kids and myself.
