The Beach

Some people are perplexed when they learn that Sam is in the Coast Guard and we live in WI.  I must admit that as a nanny in Chicago when I first saw the vastness of the 'lake' (or any of the great lakes) I couldn't quite wrap my head around the idea that this body of water that has no end, in sight anyway, was a lake?  The kids call it the ocean and it might as well be.  It looks like ocean, acts like ocean, and plays like ocean, it's ocean :)  We are a couple of miles from this playland (our road ends and you can either park and play at the beach or drive in) and I think we just might live there all summer.  Sadly Daddy misses all the fun, somebody has to work to pay the bills.  We will get some family beach time in, sometime.  We love our lake! (especially the no sharks part)
