How in the world do you survive sleeping by the fire on Christmas eve in LA? Your parents turn the a/c down to 66 and the ceiling fan above you on full power :) Next year your parents will remember that the flue needs to be closed after the fire burns out, or your house feels like 80 with 90% humidity until about 1:00 pm when they finally realize why it's a tropical rainforest in your living room. Oh, wait! Next year we'll be with normal folk in normal parts of the world where we'll have snow for Christmas and we might actually want the heat of the fire. Yippee! (nothing against all you lovely folk that live in weird places that aren't cold, but we are just cold weather creatures around here.)
Guess who was all done unwrapping presents and eating breakfast by 6:30 am? The Lockhart Family. Guess who woke up at 3:00 am and read and did workbooks quietly until 5:00 am? The Lockhart children (sans Addie). Guess who were SO grateful the children obeyed the, "don't wake mommy and daddy up before 5:00 am." request? Guess who can't believe it's over and that next year's lists are already being made?! Mommy and Daddy.
Merry Christmas everyone :) I'll post some fake Christmas morning pictures if I ever feel like getting around to forcing the children into posing.

Wow, 3 a.m. is hardcore. Your kids have some serious Christmas spirit. Adorable as always!
And here I thought 5 was way too early. Sounds like you had an eventful Christmas, I'll have to remember your advice about the flue:)
