Knee Deep

or so we wish. We have had a few very exciting diapers and one near up the backer. Only parents will understand the nightmare those can be. Only we understand that it would be the most beautiful dream come true for us. His rash is still bleeding and angry. It's torture for him and for us. All that his poor little body has had to go through and we really can't do much at all to sooth or comfort any of it. We sure try hard!

There are good hours and not so good hours and there is one supremely uncomfortable little guy. We have maxed out the Karo Syrup dosage and it's not working anymore. Now we are on to Master Cleanse lemonade with freshly squeezed lemon juice and maple syrup. We believe in the natural approach and like these ingredients much better. Malachi does not appreciate the taste, which is funny considering how sweet it is. His colon was sure happy with the 55 mls we were able to get down him.

He is stuffed up and just can't get out what he needs to. For now there is at least enough flow that he can be home and has not developed enterocolitis. That is our main concern and we stay as vigilant as possible so as to avoid it if at all possible. In time it should all come into perfect harmony. For now, we will help with his scrumptious lemonade, hope and pray that it keeps working, and keep praying that we can get him through until his body is ready, willing, and able to get 'r' done!

We continue to be so thankful for all of your support in the many ways that it is offered.
