Makes Perfect Sense, or Scents

So we are enjoying a relaxing evening watching Daddy string lights on the Christmas tree. Did I mention he and the children went in search of the perfect tree the other night? Well they did. He climbed, and cut the top off of an eighteen foot tree. They all dragged and carried. I readied the space and got the stand prepared. It all took about 45 minutes from start to finish and the best part, ... it was free! That's right, it's totally awesome to live on a farm with an abandoned Christmas tree lot as the wild woods.

So anyway, about the relaxing evening ... Ellie is sick, fever and throwing up. I mention to Sam how strange it is that after 9 hours in her stomach, her dinner was no more digested than the leftovers I put in a container for Sam's lunch today. Jacob blurts out, "Hey, if Ellie pooped and Dad was a dung beetle he could just back up into it and have lunch!"

And that folks is how we do the Christmas tree lighting in our house.

On another note, Grandma and Grandpa Fisher were just here for Thanksgiving. 5 glorious days and nights of grandparents. Oh what a treat. It's the first time we have had family come for Thanksgiving since we've been married, and the first time we've been with family for Thanksgiving since before Zack was born. It was also the first time Grandpa has been to visit us at any of our houses, and the first time he and Addie met. the last time we saw him Ellie was just over a year old and little did we know Addie was well on her way to becoming a member of our clan. A lot of firsts and oh what a grand time we had. Pictures to follow someday when I can bring myself to delete, upload, and post. Sweet, sweet times were had by all. We are now spoiled and think they should live next door. We love you Grandma and Grandpa Fisher, thank you for coming.
