I was extremely tired today and needed a nap. Jake was laying down with me and was his usual quiet, calm, still self -HA!! Needless to say I kicked him out of bed because he kept waking me up and told him I'd come downstairs in a little bit. A while later I hear some paper rustling and get up to find a note pushed under my door. The picture doesn't do it justice but I had to try. *** I aM SORRY FoR WaKING YoU UP (drawn heart) MOM aND (drawn heart to say love) Jacob *** What do you do with a four year old that taught himself to read, just like his brother, and is now spelling words like, sorry and waking, correctly without a single spelling lesson? How am I supposed to keep up with these kids? This is also the same kid who is regularly "talked to" because he's so wiggly in spanish class, yet is keeping up with 10 year old students. How are you supposed to know that hanging upside down in a chair "helps my brain work Mom" Go figure, I just try to let it all happen and provide what my lame self can!!! BTW Zack and Jake's favorite thing to do is quiz me on spanish - hmm should have paid a little more attention in 7th grade I guess.

What do I need to do to get Claire to turn out as smart as your kids?!?!
so cute! I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one who has to take naps in the middle of the day!
Good job Jake!
You'd have to talk to Heavenly Father about that one. I spend more time making sure I get out of their way and don't mess up what is already there!! More and more I think that is what parenting is.
