And then Daddy got a birthday card with cash.
Like any selfless and kind daddy would do,
he surprised his children with a Christmas tree.
Malachi thoroughly enjoyed his first star placement.
Everyone enjoyed decorating the tree.
But most of all gratitude reigned supreme as what was once not,
came into being, bringing with it the fresh smell of pine
and anticipation of Santa.
I am not certain who was more excited, but I think it was Sam. He's such a great dad.
