Life's a Beach

What do you think guys? Should we see if
our toes instantly freeze off?

Busy as a summer's day

Beach Feet make me smile

52 degrees and breezy means the Lockhart's head to the beach! It's no surprise that I am a cold weather kind of gal. I melt easily and would much rather go to the beach with a sweatshirt on than bathing suit. Yesterday was the perfect day for a brain break at the beach. We stayed for over two hours and there was much fun to be had. They ventured much further into the water than I had anticipated, but not to worry, no limbs were lost to this adventure.

Shoes swam, businesses were built, a new money system created, millionaires came into their own, sand angels were made, towels were used as tissues (gross, did I just type that?!) bartering, trading, and selling were had by all, towel anchors were invented, streams were forged and rerouted, musical instruments were made of sand and feet, digging machines and writing machines, and much much more; all in a couple of hours with some pretty great kids in the great outdoors. And that my friends is what this mom calls a fantastic brain break.

Quote of the day: (J) "The deeper I went and the longer I stayed in the water the warmer it got. It was kind of hard to tell if my legs were still on when I came out though."
