There is nothing I look forward to more each year than Conference weekend. The Lord's Prophet and Apostles speak to us and we are spiritually fed by their prophetic counsel. I can not think of a better way to celebrate Christ's amazing sacrifice for us (the atonement) and gift to us (the resurrection) than listening to His words sent through His servants on earth today. Awesome, in the truest sense of the word.

We had a grand time. Not too many pictures to mark the event; sometimes I find it easier to experience and live the moments when I am not trying so hard to capture them. Perhaps in trying to take them captive they are lost. Perhaps. Anyway, we always have a great time hunkering down with great food that is easily prepared ahead of time and eaten in front of the television (go Direct TV!)
We colored eggs Saturday afternoon and the Easter Bunny had too much fun (no really) hiding all 138 plastic eggs outside in the yard. There are still some rolling around out there. Are you asking if my children are down from their sugar high yet? Most of the eggs were filled with money (nickels and dimes) and various cheap little party favor type trinkets (rings, balloon in a tube, parachuting animals - you know good quality made in China junk!) They had a blast and are still finding eggs by searching through the windows upstairs. Their bellies all ached due to sugar overload but that quickly went away when the good eating started.
Most of all we were spiritually fed and that was truly the best part. Happy Easter!
