The Soap Caper

So I have been re-filling the handsoap in the bathroom quite a bit lately, quite a bit.

I am happily in my dillusion that my children have finally caught on to the notion that hand washing is an excellent way to stay healthy and keep 'food sticky' off all surfaces.  Until ... I come around the corner today and happen to see Jacob in the act; I counted 10 full squirts before I asked him what he was doing.  The reply, "Washing my hands, you told me to wash my hands after I use the restroom."  I am forgetting the part of hand washing instruction where I said 'as much soap as you can possibly fit in your hand'.  I guess I'll have to pay more attention to what I say from now on.

I did lay it on a bit thick when my reply was, "Jacob do you want Daddy to move to Milwaukee without us because we spent all our money on soap and couldn't pay enough on the house to sell it?"  WOW!  The therapy that kid is going to need!  Sometimes I wonder about my parenting abilities.  I did apologize and explain to him, in my next breath, that mommy was exaggerating quite a bit and he would not be any cause of us not getting to be with daddy.  I am guessing I won't need to say any more about the soap :), but again with the therapy.

Just how much soap does it take to kill all those microbes/germy wormies?  Apparently quite a bit, quite a bit :)
