Teamwork

One of my favorite ways to get the kids help is to loudly and oh so tiredly say, "Oh I wish a little elf would do ______." Quicker than you know it and with lots of excited whispers and giggles whatever task it was is done with such a cheerful attitude.  I made such a comment about needing all the laundry brought down from upstairs (oh how I miss my laundry chute from MI) and to my delight rounded the corner to see this wonderful sight.  It was made sweeter of course by the accompanying choir singing the Teamwork song from the WonderPets.  At one point coming down the stairs Jacob got scared he was going to fall and when asked how he could solve the problem he quickly shoved his apple in his mouth and grabbed the basket with both hands.  It was quite amusing when Ellie followed suit as she was down to the core and just shoved the entire thing in her mouth.  I don't know if you can get an idea from the picture but it was hilarious when at the bottom of the stairs she pulled an entire apple core from her mouth.  It was kind of like the scene from Mary Poppins when she keeps pulling ridiculously large items from her tiny little bag.  Anyway, time for a spelling test so I am off to school!
