Okay, he's been 10 for a bit. I can't possibly pretend to keep things in order here. Anyhoo, it was a super busy day with summer camp until 4 pm and scouts at 6:30 pm, but we managed to squeeze in a bit of birthday surprise. He even got to ride it to scouts.
Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of the present under the blanket. It was a new bike and desperately needed. A little perspective; his old bike was a perfect fit for Addie. Sam blew up 70 balloons, yep you read that right, 70. The bike was so well disguised that Jacob thought it was us hiding and poked our "heads" to tease us.
He felt bad for ruining the surprise and "told" on himself. I was most happy to realize that he hadn't actually spoiled the big surprise, just the balloon part. We spent quite a few days in balloon fun and, in fact, there are still a few hanging around.
I wish they would stop growing up, but birthdays are quite fun.
