Bakyard Shinanigans

Most times adventure is not far away. In fact rushing rivers, quiet streams and ponds with islands (that freeze into marvelous ice skating surfaces!), along with wooded bird and squirrel habitats are right in our own backyard! All winter and now "spring" we have relished in the changing scenery and landscape. Thankfully, the planned spot for the garden boxes has not flooded, yet! Good times and many memories just out the back door. Lovely. 

And by back door I mean service door in the garage. My children will read this and wonder when I am going to dump them out of the 10 foot high sliding doors off the kitchen (we have a walk out basement). Someday we will have a deck, until then we use the garage service door to access the backyard and the children remain intact. Stay tuned for the next installment which will surely now include a homemade elevator.
