We love living so close to the water. It was so windy and cold this day but the kiddos had been asking for a donut beach run, as per family tradition, for so long. We decided to brave the weather and show it who is boss. We were outside the van for all of about 3 minutes.
Tis a simply good life we live. I couldn't do it without these good natured adaptable children that are truly grateful for little moments. They work hard, study harder, and create healthy screen free entertainment for themselves and each other while I manage all that needs to be.
For a mom that feels all I can do is disappoint, say "sorry not right now", and constantly deny material requests, it is good to have children so willing to see through to the wholeness of simplicity. Especially because they are surrounded by talkative friends with much to show.
It is painful for one so lacking, I do so appreciate your wonderful examples.
