Then and Now ...

We have a scanner, we have pictures of Zackary when he was a baby. Why then, is this then and now post so lame with a 6 year old picture and a 9 year old picture? Because the 6 year old picture was when we started using a digital camera and it's already on the computer waiting for me to fetch it. Maybe someday when I get ambitious I'll get through that enormous tote of pictures (no I am not a scrapper and I do not have album upon album of wonderfully sorted and arranged pictures to choose from) and be able to treat you with an actual now and then ... maybe...
December 2007 in LA, 6 years old (2 months shy of 7).
Getting so big but still has that baby face.

March 2010, 9 years old with his new glasses and spiky hair.
When does your screaming little baby that won't eat,
turn into a little man that eats more than his dad at most meals?
It has been tradition since Zackary was 2 to have the missionaries over for his birthday dinner. This year they couldn't make it so they came in the morning and serenaded him. Of course they got to check out his first pinewood derby car too. (He won 2 of his heats!)

It is also tradition to go sledding. In LA that meant ride the trolley and go to the aquarium. This year it meant go to Discovery World because the sleds were buried in snow somewhere on the corn hill. We had a blast! Thanks for being an amazing part of our family Zackary, we love you.

Oh my he looks so much older! I guess he would after 5 years. He looks so cute with his glasses. We might have to get Ethan set up with glasses as well as he's squinting a lot. Happy Birthday Zackary!!
